J N Drywall Ltd. is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Drywall Installers to join its team. The company is based in Abbotsford, BC.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $28.00 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible
Work locations: Various job locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley and/or as per company contracts.
Job duties
- Measure, cut drywall panels for installation on walls and ceilings.
- Positioning and securing drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
- Cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
- Smoothing out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and offered ceilings.
- Prepare material for installation and perform other related tasks.
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
Job requirements
- Completion of Secondary School required
- Completion of 3-4 years apprenticeship program in relevant trade or over 3 years of experience in related field is required
- Functional English is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Note
- Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 CAD for qualified candidates.
- If any of the current employee of J N Drywall Ltd. makes a referral that results in to hire, the company will pay $1000 referral to that employee.
