Tile Setters

Wage - $28.00/Hr

Hours – 40 hours/week

Terms of Employment – Permanent, Full Time

 

Job Duties

• Preparing, measuring, and marking surface to be covered
• Building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires and brackets
• Mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives
• Setting tiles in position and apply pressure to affix tiles to base
• Aligning and straightening tile using levels, squares and straightedges
• Cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
• Packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout
• Installing tile strips
• Laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
• Cutting, polishing and installing marble and granite
• Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles
