 Qualification: 

  • A college diploma in Business/Finance/Marketing is required;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing management.

 Job duties:

  • Collaborates with other departments to identify needs and requirements for products; lead and implement purchasing strategies.
  • Draft, and implement instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management.
  • Work closely with marketing manager as well as international suppliers to forecast price, market trends, and upcoming levels of demand to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.  
  • Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
  • Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
  • Ensure all purchasing orders are processed following proper procedures, and that purchased items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates, scenario analysis and manage budgets; prepare and present market conditions and merchandise cost reports
  • Maintain the purchasing and recordkeeping systems; work to improve purchasing process;
  • Hire, train and manage new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
