ORIGINAL ASTAAD JI INDIAN CUISINE (DBA: USTAAD G Indian Cuisine) is well known for its authentic Flavors and hospitality located in Surrey, BC. We are looking for a “Cook” to join our team.

Position: Cook

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full Time

Vacancy: 1                  

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: C$25.25/ hr; 40 hours per week

Language: Basic English, not mandatory

Location: 9436 120 St, Surrey, BC V3V 4B9

Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a cook.

Cook (NOC 6322) will have to perform all of these duties:

• Be able to cook complete meals and individual dishes as per the menu.
• Skilled in Indian Cuisine.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers and oversees the kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Assist in planning menus, determiningthe size of food portions, estimating food requirements and costs, and monitoring and ordering supplies as per the requirement of employer.
• May set up and oversee buffets.
• Coordinate with the other kitchen staff and helpers.
• May have to train the helper in plate presentation.

Additional Skills:

Must have at least secondary school qualification, Candidate must bereliable and have a passion for cooking.
