Job Duties:

∙ Preparation and cooking of complete Indian meals or individual Indian dishes.

∙ Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.

∙ May clean kitchen and work area.

∙ Supervise kitchen operations.

∙ Menu planning, determining the size and number of food portions, estimating food requirements and costs, and ordering supplies.

∙ Food, supplies, and equipment must be inventoried and recorded.

∙ Assist and provide necessary training to employees in food handling

∙ preparation and cooking.

∙ May specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic cuisine or special dishes.

∙ Manage the operations of the kitchen.
