Computer Network Technician

JOB DUTIES

• Access client’s hardware and software to ensure integration of the new app created.
• Network all other devices as requested by the client to the new applications created (IoT)
• Architecture design of IoT device and service ecosystem.
• Solution architecture and integration of IoT device management platform.
• IoT certification and integration with all devices.
• Right machinery PLC logic that will enable device integration for clients.
• Work with the customer in conjunction with sales team to understand project needs and design solutions.
• Maintain and develop Python based test platform
• Develop and customize LoRaWAN device platform to project requirements.
• Maintain, resolve, and supervise the use of LANs and WANs.
• Perform installation, configuration, documentation, and distribution of equipment and software to users as required
• Ensure records are properly maintained, providing support in maintaining an inventory of software and hardware
• Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions
• Provide quality training to users on software and equipment
• Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs
• Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network
• Develop and deploy new security strategies to make sure that all systems and data are secure. Provide assistance on maintenance of equipment and systems
• Conversant with network management and network ecosystem
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Completion of College/CEGEP is required
• 2 years to 3 years of experience in similar role with an IT firm is required
• Excellent oral communication and written communication in English is required
• Proficient in using MS Office & MS Access. Also, be process & system minded.
• Accurate, Effective interpersonal skills, Flexible, Multitasking, Initiative, Organized, Client Focus & Team player

SALARY & HOURS

$36.00 per hour for 35 hours a week
