Millson Technologies Inc is western Canada’s premier residential system integration company specializing in high-end home automation and audio/video is seeking Electric Power and Wire Communications Labourer.

It is a full-time, permanent position, 30-40 hours/week, $21.00 to $27.00 / hour (to be negotiated). Vacation 4%. Benefits: Extended health benefit package offered once 3-month probation period is up. Start date as soon as possible.

The Electric Power and Wire Communications Labourer will be helping to execute home electronics integration and installation projects from individual residences to complex multi-unit apartment developments. 

The majority of our jobs are in Whistler, so the ideal candidate would reside in Squamish but not exclusive to. If not residing in the Squamish/Whistler area, you must be willing and able to travel to Whistler daily with no issue. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in project documentation to execute complex AV and Integration Projects
  • Able to interact with all team members and project stakeholders including clients, design professionals, and contractors
  • Able to effectively communicate internally with project management team on project related issues
  • Move tools, equipment and other materials
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public
  • Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons
  • apprentices and other workers as directed
  • Able to effectively troubleshoot technical issues in complex integrated projects

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills (Fluency in English is required for this position)
  • Strong general computer skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and operate hand and power tools (saws, drills, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Willing to learn quickly and enjoys challenges
  • Commitment to quality, team success and continuous improvement
