Job Title: Engineer, Software

• Support the implementation of new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software;
• Work on a platform for monitoring, logging, and orchestration of docker applications running on Kubernetes;
• Designs and builds components, templates, dialogs, and workflows using the AEM architecture (Sling, CRX, OSGI, JCR);
• Responsible for developing potential electronic data processing applications and prepares design proposals to reflect cost, time and alternative actions to satisfy existing and future needs of the company;
• Manages analysis of systems specifications and uses the latest analysis/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes;
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems;
• Provide daily production support JAVA / AEM and problem resolution for assigned applications;
• Managing Java and Java EE application development;
• Ensuring designs comply with specifications;
• Preparing and producing releases of software components;
• Transforming requirements into stipulations;
• Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to address routine to moderately complex reporting issues with accuracy or performance;
• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging;
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner;
• Responsible for overseeing data security whilst also preparing documentations for database applications;
• Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables;
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements;
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration;
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting.

Job Details

Salary: $48.50 CAD Per Hour Minimum 30 hours per week

Overtime Rate: $72.75 per hour starting after 44 hours per week

Experience and Education Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree is required, any computer related course is accepted;
• Minimum 3 years of experience is required in software development;
• Excellent understanding and experience working on Core Java, SQL, Kubernetes & AEM is required;
• Must possess experience in software applications;
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
• Great interpersonal and time-management skills;
• Excellent communication & writing skills in English.
