Salary: $22.50 / hour

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment,Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, physically demanding, Hand-eye co-ordination

Work Site Environment: Cold/refrigerated

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Band saw, slicing machine, Manual cutting utensil, Power grinder, Sausage machine, Salami mixer and cooker

Work Setting: Butcher Shop

Specific Skills: Slice cooked meats, Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, cut poultry into parts, Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meats, Remove bones from meat, Make special sausages, Grind meats, Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, Prepare special orders

Additional Skills: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, Wrap and package prepared meats, Weigh meats for sale
