Meat & Bread prepares fast & delicious sandwiches with high quality ingredients, strong culinary skill and a lot of heart. Every location serves our signature carved-to-order porchetta sandwich, meatball sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich and a weekly feature sandwich, may be paired with soup, salad, chip, or pickle. We are currently looking for a Food Service Supervisor in our Robson location, who will be a good fit to join our team and be motivated to provide great service for our dear customers.

Position Title: Food Service Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position available: 1

Wage: $17.50 – $19.50 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 2 weeks paid vacation

Job Duties:

• Supervise and co-ordinate the workloads of the front of house staffs who prepare and portion foods;
• Ensure the quality of food and services provided meet the standards of Meat & Bread;
• Co-ordinate and inform staff schedules;
• Monitor and order ingredients, and supplies needed for day-to-day operation;
• Assist in hiring new front of house staff, and train them in their responsibilities, Meat & Bread policies, safety standards and sanitization procedures.
• Monitor, review, and keep records of sales, inventory, wastage and repairs of all equipment and point-of sale system.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline

OR

• Since this is a supervisory position, at least 1+ year of work experience in food preparation or service are required;
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment;
• Ability to provide direction, strong leadership, and great time management skills;
