Long Haul Truck drivers

Vancouver Transport Inc. is looking for 3 Long Haul Truck drivers. This position will be full time with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. Our company is located at 160 19358 96 avenue Surrey BC V4N 4C1.

The Job Duties for this position will be:

• Inspect trucks before and after trips and submit report indicating trucks condition

• Read bill of Lading to determine assignment

• Faster chain or binders to secure load on trailers during transit

• Load or unload or assists in loading or unloading trucks

• May drive as apart of two person team driving tractor with sleeper bunk

• Service truck with oil, fuel and radiator fluid to maintain truck trailer

• Obtain customer signatures and collect payment for services

• Inventories and inspect goods to be moved

• Maneuver truck into loading and unloading position, following signals from loading crew as needed

• Drive trucks to weigh station before and after loading, along route to document weight and confirm to provincial regulations

• Must be able to operate a tractor/trailer unit.

Job Requirements:

• Class 1 Driving License with Air brakes

• Basic english is required
