JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and lead Transportation Managers
- Oversee recruitment, training and performance of new and current employees
- Follow and improvise a robust maintenance plan to reduce downtime for Trucks
- Responsible for running overall operations, finance, maintenance and contractor recruitment
- Provide guidance & direction for logistics solutions to customers & internal productivity/quality improvement projects
- Assist the set-up process of the company & operations (operational processes, policies & procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, staff recruitment, training, selection of suppliers, local regulatory requirements.)
- Develop annual budget for expense accounts and capital equipment related to the operations of Equipment, Facilities, and Fleet departments
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
- Directing investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints
- Complying with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
- Ensure compliance in Environment, Health and Safety, Financial, Systems & Controls Set targets (covering all Balanced Score Card areas) & performance evaluation of same on regular basis ensuring continual improvement
- Establish financial and administrative controls
- Select middle managers, delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
- Participate in safety audits and programs. Also, develop policies and procedures to implement programs.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree required in business administration
- 5 years or more experience in similar role performing similar duties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office & Microsoft Access skills
- Ability to supervise 5-10 employees
- Liable to hold budgetary responsibility of $100,001 - $500,000
- Possess knowledge of financial planning, P&L analysis, and margin improvement
- Ability to motivate, train, lead, and evaluate the performance of subordinates
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines
- Must have very strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and authority, when necessary
- Must possess strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and communication skills
- Key Skills required such as attention to detail, repetitive tasks, adaptability, organizational skills, time management, confidence, commercial awareness, good team working.

$61.25 hourly for 30 hours per week
