Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: College Diploma in Business or Hotel Management or equivalent

Experience: 2-3 years of experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Client focus, Dependability, Organized, Team player, Reliability

Additional Skills: Select and purchase equipment and supplies, Supervise staff, Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services, Supervise in-house laundry, services, Co-ordinate in-house laundry services, Hire and dismiss staff

Size of Lodging Operation (Hotels, motels, resorts etc.): Less than 50 rooms

 

Specific Skills:

• Establish and implement operational procedures for housekeeping department,
• Plan and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews,
• Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas,
• Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met,
• Maintain financial records,
• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms,
• Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff,
• Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out, Respond to complaints of guests
