Tile Installer

Jordyn Developments Corporation O/A Jordyn Developments located at 160 Tycos Drive, Unit 2201, Toronto, ON M6B 1W8, requires 1 Tile Installer on a Permanent full-time basis. Wage: $33.00 per hour for 37.50 hours per week. 1 year to less 2 years’ experience is required as a tile Installer. JOB DUTIES AS A TILE INSTALLER

1. Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
2. Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels
3. Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
4. Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
5. Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
6. Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
7. Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
8. All other relevant tasks
