Job Title: Food Service Supervisor
Terms of Employment: Full-time/Permanent
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Wage: $15.65 - $17.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week
No of Positions: 2
Job Duties:
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of food preppers, kitchen helpers, and servers
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies for kitchen and service area
- Oversee and maintain food service requirements and ensure quality of food meets restaurant standards.
- Keep records of inventory, sales, and maintenance and generate reports when necessary
- Prepare work schedules
- Train staff in job duties as well as food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure adherence to food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Experience: 1-2-year experience in food sector is required.
***Note: Applicants with a college diploma /certificate in relevant field or management field will be considered with less experience.
Language: English
Ability to Supervise: Staff in various areas of responsibility such as Food counter attendant and food preparers, cooks, kitchen helpers, etc.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast paced environment, work under pressure, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, flexibility, team player, excellent oral communication, client focus.
