• Preparing ingredients such as cutting vegetables, chopping meat etc.
• Monitor the quality of ingredients before cooking.
• Checking the stock of ingredients and placing orders in case of any shortage,
• Preparing food as per the specification of customers and before the arrival of guests.
• Adjusting food according to clients' demands, keeping in mind their allergies and diet concerns.
• Assisting other cooks while preparing meals.
• Cooking using different appliances like oven, fryers etc.
• Garnishing order before serving.
• Taking orders from wait staff or computerised system.
• Storing the food properly.
• Cleaning up the workstation at the end of the shift.
