Liuyishou Hotpot is a brand name authentic Chongqing hotpot restaurant for over two decades. It became one of the biggest hotpot chains in the world. You can experience the authentic Chinese Chongqing hotpot without travel to China. We are currently seeking Chinese Cuisine Cooks to join our restaurant.

 

Position Details:

Location: 102-650 Hwy 7 E, Richmond Hill, ON, L4B 2N7, Canada

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary Expectation: $18 - $20 per hour

Working Hours: permanent position, full-time by shift (40hr/week) including evening, weekend and holidays

Benefits: bonus and tips based on performance; 2 Weeks paid vacation per Calendar year

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist to lead, mentor, and manage kitchen staffs/helpers and oversee kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and complete Sichuan and Hotpot meals by following recipes: slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; and adding seasonings; verifying taste; and plating meals.
  • Assist to develop and plan menus and daily specials within established budget and availability of seasonal ingredients and keep up to date with industry trends .
  • Prepare, weight, measure, mix ingredients and ensure that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
  • Manage food costing and inventory by taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
  • Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas and enforce safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
  • Maintain work schedule for kitchen staff/helper to ensure smooth and effective flow of activities in the kitchen. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
  • Participate in interview process and selection of kitchen staff, as well as training staff to prepare and cook the menu items.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary education is required;
  • Minimum 3 years and above related working experience in authentic Chinese cuisine is required and previous experience of cooking Sichuan cuisine is preferred;
  • Follow work requirements
  • Any other form of certification in cooking would be of added advantage;
  • Ability to work under pressure.
