Wage Rate and hours:  $29 per hour, 35-40 hours per week

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: various locations across Lower Mainland Area, BC

Work area: Commercial and Residential Construction projects

Language: English

Education: No education requirement. However, Completion of secondary school will be considered an asset. Applicants who have no prior experience but have completed three-to-four-year related trade apprenticeship program will be considered as well.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in same field is required. Applicants who have no prior experience but have completed three-to-four-year related trade apprenticeship program will be considered as well.

Wok conditions and Physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling. Physically demanding work.

Job duties:

• Prepare layouts as per building codes of different cities
• Use of measuring tools to prepare layouts
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden and steel structures as per job requirements
• Fit and install doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Attend safety meetings
• Build foundations, install floor beam, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, steel, and other materials
• Ability to estimate costs and materials will be considered an asset
• Report paperwork of the day
• Ensure job sites are left clean and tidy at the end of each shift and materials are stored safely on site or removed from site when required
• Follow the provincial and company’s workplace safety guidelines
