- Preparing and Cooking meals including individual dishes and foods
- Ensuring the quality of food and determining the size
- Scheduling and supervising kitchen helpers
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Being able to estimate food requirements and costs
- Maintaining inventory records of food
- Keeping kitchen area tidy and sanitary
- Working with various supplies and equipment
