Roofer

Key Responsibilities

1. Install or replace flat roofs as well as asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and other roofing materials on sloped roofs
2. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
3. Install sheet metal flashings using hand tools and other equipment
4. Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using different materials
5. Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
6. Install scaffolding and other working platforms
7. Estimate materials and costs
8. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specification

Qualifications & Skills

1. Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
2. Client communication skill
3. Reliability and dependability
4. Capable to work in a fast-paced physically demanding environment
5. Weight handling up to 13.5kg (30lbs)
6. Valid driver’s license
7. Safety equipment/gear

Permanent employment; Full-time

Wage & Benefits

$30/hour, 30 to 40 hours/week
