Front Desk Clerk- 2 Vacancies

We, Canko Group Hotel Management Ltd. o/a Super 8 Abbotsford are looking for a Full-time, Permanent Front Desk Clerk. (We can consider Part-time as well as Full-time applicants).

Position: Front Desk Clerk

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Salary & Benefit: $17.00/hr for 33-37.5 hr/wk, (Overtime will be provided after 8hrs/day, and 40hrs/wk)

Benefit: 4% paid vacation

Work location: 1881 Sumas Way, Abbotsford, BC V2S 4L5

Work Setting: Hotel

Education: Completion of Secondary School

Experience: Not Required (but experience will be considered as an asset)

Language: English

Job Description:

- Greet, register, and assign rooms to the guest

- Answer phone calls, questions from customers, guide/give local information to enjoy their travel, and respond to customers' complaints

- Record and check daily visitor sheet, guest accounts, receipts, and keep the record by using computerized or manual systems

- Verify customer’s credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation

- Present statement of charges to departing quests and receive payment

- Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges

- Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems

- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations
