We have a vacancy of Baker for our business, Picasso’s Bakery. This vacancy is based in Port Coquitlam.

Position Title: Baker

Business: Picasso’s Bakery

Work Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 35 - 40 hours/week

Work Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

Salary: $16 – 18 depending on experiences plus holiday and over-time pay

 

Tasks:

• Determine quantity of goods to bake based on production schedule
• Determine and prepare the ingredients needed to bake goods for that day
• Prepare cakes, cookies and pastries based on recipes or customized orders
• Prepare icings, batters and doughs
• Operate oven, mixer, cutting tools and other baking equipment to bake goods
• Order and stock raw supplies ahead to ensure the inventory level is adequate
• Develop process improvements to avoid wastage and ensure product freshness and food safety
• Ensure clean and neat bakery workspace at all times

 

Job requirements:

• A high school diploma is required
• Bakery-related education experiences or 1- 2 years baking experiences required
• Client focus, reliable and attention to detail
