Patiala House – The Indian Kitchen is an Indian Restaurant located in the Brampton, Ontario. The restaurant is opened with a belief “Anything worth doing right”. Since our opening we have our four core pillars that have not changed! Real...Authentic…Fresh… Indian Food!

• We are in the urgent need of Ethnic Food Cooks who are expert in cooking an authentic North Indian Food, East Indian, Vegetarian.
• We prefer a cook who is knowledgeable about our traditional cultural spices.
• It is fast paced environment, physically demanding and includes the combination of standing, bending and sitting for extended hours.
• The candidate must be a team player, organised, flexible and reliable attitude.

Peaks: We will be offering an overtime pay per hour after working 44 hours in any week. Further, we will give 4% of gross annual income as a vacation pay.

About you – preferred requirements for this role

An ideal candidate must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate along with minimum of 1 year of working experience as an Ethnic Food Cook.
Language Preference: English

Cuisine Specialist: East Indian, Vegetarian.

Duties:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies and as per the special instructions.
• Determine size of food portion, estimate food requirements, costs.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
• Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and cutting veggies and meat).
• Garnishing food to make it more presentable.
• Prepare, cook & grill meat, vegetables.
• Cooking classical curries, and tandoori items for dine-in & take-outs.
• Prepare traditional North – Indian cuisine with the special spices.

Working Hours in each week – 37.50 to 44 hours
