Dispatch Logistician

• Using Global Positioning Systems to monitor the location of the drivers
• Communicating with brokers, carriers, suppliers and customers 
• Directing and organizing logistics activities that may include obtaining shipping rates or negotiating with service providers 
• Ensuring carrier compliance with company policies and procedures
• Ensuring prompt receipt and delivery of equipment to and from customers
• Coordinating deliveries with other work units or departments
• Dealing with conflict and being able to solve it quickly

• Co-ordinate and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: shipping, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventories of products.
• Manage the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes, and unloading of materials.
• Oversee the shipment and delivery of goods and warehouse personnel.
• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Co-ordinate activities with drivers, customers and other work units or departments
• Prepare and submit reports
• Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
• Arrange for maintenance and repair work
• Resolve work related problems
• Train workers in duties and policies and arrange training for staff
• Conduct performance reviews
• Requisition/ Order materials, equipment, and supplies
• Co-ordinate, assign and review work
• Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization

Employer Requirements - 

• Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience - 1 years to less than 2 years
