Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely produce quality parts on schedule

Run tooling and machinery to optimize production and quality to meet customer requirements

Able to troubleshoot unique problems with parts, fixtures or tooling

Change tools, inserts and adjust offsets as required to maintain tolerances

Complete daily machine maintenance

Check own parts against drawings in various stages of production

Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards

Follow all safety and ISO procedures and responsibilities accurately completing appropriate paperwork

Assist with training of Machinist Apprentice

Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Experience in a jobbing shop environment is an asset
-
Prior experience with large horizontal or vertical boring mills or lathes and G-Code or Heidenhain CNC control an asset

Intricate set up and programming skills are an asset

Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of GD&T an asset.

Able to use and read machinists measuring equipment

Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances
-
Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
-
ISO 9001:2015 experience is an asset
-
Overhead crane and forklift experience is an asset
Salary: $33 / hour
Vacation: 2 weeks vacation after first year worked

Language: Intermediate English proficiency is required
