Truck Driver

Job description: 

Rockwell Trucking is looking for 1 permanent and full time (40-45 hrs/week) Truck Driver.

Work location: Windsor, ON, Canada

Employment conditions: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night

Job requirements: 

Languages- English

Education- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience- 1 to less than 7 months

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

AZ class license 

Type of trucking and equipment:

Tractor-trailer

Communication systems experience:

Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment 

Documentation knowledge:

Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports 

Job Duties:

Load and unload goods.

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. 

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

Receive and relay information to central dispatch

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption 

Security and safety:

Valid passport, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract) 

Transportation/travel information:

Valid driver's licence
