Reliance Immigration Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Legal Administrative Assistant to work in our Surrey office.
Education and Experience:
- A legal administrative assistant certification from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
- Handling the confidential documents related to immigration processes.
- At least 1 year as a legal administrative assistant in a similar role with comparable responsibilities is preferred
- Knowledge of current immigration procedures, precedents, and government rules and regulations will be an asset.
- Minimum requirement: 1-2 years of exp of legal writing with a Canadian lawyer
- Canadian education: 1-2 years of legal assistant diploma
Key Competencies:
- Proficiency with typical law office computing systems (Microsoft® Office applications, document management software such as Worldox).
- Ability to handle a high volume of work with tight deadlines.
- Information gathering and information monitoring
- Superior English Communication skills- written and verbal. Oral Punjabi/Hindi skills will be an asset.
- Planning and organizing
- Prioritizing with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem assessment and problem-solving
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Answer and relay telephone calls and take appropriate messages.
- Welcome visitors and answer their questions.
- Schedule appointments with clients.
- Photocopy, fax, file and other general admin and clerical duties as required.
- Assisting Immigration Case Manager with preparing immigration documents.
- Following up for client’s documents and tracking application status.
- Respond to email and phone inquiries.
- Maintain and update client’s database, organize and maintain client files and records.
- Invoice and documentation of client’s payments.
- Other administrative duties as required.
