Wholesale Trade Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Wholesale Trade Manager at Importex Design Ltd. will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the company, which sells merchandise and services on a retail/wholesale basis. The position will require the ability and knowledge to manage two service locations, one in Richmond, British Columbia, and the other in Markham, Ontario.

EMPLOYMENT LENGTH: PERMANENT 30-40Hrs Full Time

LANGUAGE OF WORK: ENGLISH

WAGE: $44/Hr

BENEFIT: Dental Insurance

LOCATION: Markham, Ontario

JOB DUTIES

The duties of the Wholesale Trade Manager at Importex Design Ltd. will include but are not limited to:

• Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of establishments engaged in wholesale and retail sales or of departments in such establishments
• Manage staff and assign duties
• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
• Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
• Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale
• Develop and implement marketing strategies
• Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues
• Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
• Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff

QUALIFICATION

• 3+ years of related retail or wholesale sales experience
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related fields
