Permanent Position: Grill Cook 

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time (Weekend, Overtime as required)

Wage Rate:  $18.00  per hour, for 40 hours per week.

 Work setting: Restaurant

 Job Duties:

• Prepare, and cook complete meals or individual dishes as directed

• Grill meat and vegetables at the right temperature and to suit the customer’s taste

• Check that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.

• Discard ingredients that have expired and those that are near to expiry time

• Take daily measures to prevent food cross-contamination

• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

• Train staff in preparation, cooking, grilling, and handling of food.

•  Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.

• May prepare ingredients for cooking as required.

Requirements:

Education: High School

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience required.

Languages: English

Benefits: Relocation expenses will be covered by the employer as well as the first three months of medical insurance, if required.

Other: Candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada.
