Leather-Sewing Machine Operator

We are a Canadian Leather Manufacturing located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. We are making Cowboy hats, Handbags, Souvenirs Items, Briefcase, Wallets, Western wear and all type of small leather goods in Deer hide, Cowhide and Buffalo hide. We produce quality hand crafted leather goods for retail as well as wholesale clients. We are based in Toronto and have been operating in Canada since 1973. The company's main product lines consist of: Purses, organizers, portfolios, briefcases, belts, executive bags and more. We supply retailers with many products.

The management has identified the need for an experienced operator who has extensive experience in sewing leather products. We offer $17 per hour for a full-time position.

Tasks

• Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis
• Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
• Set in sleeves, pockets, collars and other garment pieces
• Use sewing guides and tension devices
