Job Description and Duties:

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the operations of the store
• Manage the multiple stores located in the Greater Vancouver area
• Ensure prompt and timely service of pickup and delivery
• Record and monitor laundry operation costs
• Manage and control inventory
• Ensure that the business runs efficiently and safely
• Meet and interact with various vendors
• Check and reconcile sales reports, prepare and submit progress reports and other reports to the Manager
• Study market trends to determine and prioritize customer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
• Develop and implement management policies and marketing strategies
• Resolve problems that may arise like customer complaints, urgent work load or
shortage of products for the multiple store locations in the Greater Vancouver area
• Plan budgets, approve and control expenditures
• Process and authorize payments
• Supervise, hire, train and coordinate staff in job duties, schedule and manage the shift systems
• Other related duties as may be requested by the management

Personal Qualities and Skills:

• Good communication skills in English
• To be well organized and able to make decisions
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment meeting strict deadlines with demonstrated time management
• Customer service and leadership skills
• Good knowledge of cleaning and laundering processes
• Numerical skills to cope with accounts, book-keeping and budgeting
• A good level of fitness

The work environment can get hot, humid and sometimes noisy.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Long Term

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Wages: $27.74 per hour


• One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations
• Should be flexible to work on shifts from 7.30 AM to 3.30 PM or 12.30 PM to 8.30 PM and also may have to work overtime on weekdays or weekends depending upon the work load, if required

• 4% vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Some prior managerial experience in dry cleaning and laundry services industry is usually required
