Job Description

Child Caregiver needed for 2 children, 10 years old and 1 year old in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at private home.

Job Duties to be performed

• Accompany, supervise and care for our children at our own residence
• Bathe, dress, and feed our 1-year-old child
• Prepare formulas and change diapers for our 1-year-old child
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other light housekeeping duties
• Oversee activities of all the children, such as meals and rest periods
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment at the home
• Instruct children about personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support the social development
• Discipline kids according to the methods requested by the parents
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take children to and from appointments
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding our kids.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a 6-month professional caregiver training program in child care or a related field or 1+ year of experience in Child care or household management experience is required.
• Good English communication skills are required.
