Position: Steel Stud Framer - Carpentry
Duration: Permanent, Full-Time (will also consider part-time workers)
Hours: 30 hrs /week
Salary: $30.00/hr
Overtime: $45.00/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/wk)
Observed Holidays: As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 holidays/yr

Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or sketches in order to determine job specifications and to calculate material requirements
Prepare layouts that conform to established plans and building codes
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join studs made of lightweight metals according to plans, building codes, and established requirements
Erect walls, primarily internal walls made of lightweight metals, according to plans
Fit and install prefabricated items such as doors, windows, pass-throughs, etc.
Proficiently and safely use/operate various hand and electric/air tools such as levels, tape measures, clamps, hammers, chisels, tin snips, nail guns, drills, drivers, hand & chop saws, etc.
Demonstrate accuracy, precision, and attention to details at all times, and be mindful of proficient and economical use of materials (ie: measure twice, cut once) and equipment
Demonstrate outstanding organizational skills by keeping project tools and materials clean and easily accessible and improve job quality by identifying improvements
Lift/carry heavy pieces of material/structures and be able to control it while safely
Follow safety procedures
