We are currently looking for hardworking and skilled people to join our team as Tile Installers. In this role, you will work on a variety of tiling projects, from simple fixes to complex designs in big construction jobs. You should be comfortable using different tools and following safety rules and building codes. Position Description

 

Position: Tile Installer

Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, Greater, Vancouver, and Fraser Valley in BC.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, levelling, and marking them.
  • Apply and spread adhesives like mortar, cement, or glue with precision using a hand trowel.
  • Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstructions and openings using hand and power-cutting tools.
  • Ensure correct tile alignment using levelling tools, squares, and straight edges.
  • Adhere tiles to various surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roof decks, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
  • Create visually appealing tile arrangements and intricate designs, including patterns, mosaics, and decorative accents.
  • Handle marble and granite materials, including cutting, polishing, and installation with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Remove and replace damaged tiles promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections to confirm the finished work aligns with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within your workspace, ensuring proper care and storage of tools and equipment.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Completion of secondary school education.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in trade or equivalent education.
  • Proficiency in effective oral and written communication, along with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong work ethic and a genuine desire to deliver quality workmanship.
  • Experience in working with various tools and equipment used in tile settings, such as tile cutters, wet saws, trowels, and grout floats.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and safety regulations related to tile installation.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy tiles and equipment.
