Terms of Employment (Full Time, Part Time, Casual): Full time permanent with 32.5 hours/week

Skill Requirements:

Solid skills in computer software used for drafting and modeling, such as CAD and BIM applications;

Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information accurately;

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary;

Ability to use Desktop applications, word processing software, project management software, MS Office, Spreadsheets, etc;

Specialized knowledge in architecture, construction, and project management is an asset;

Ability to provide training and supervision;

International experience/perspective is preferred;

Fluent in English. Ability in another language other than English is preferred.
Qualification:

A college diploma is required; a program in Construction/Architecture is preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and/or Computer-assisted designing (CAD).
Job duties:
-
Utilize advanced computer software to create comprehensive building information models (BIM) that accurately represent buildings' physical and functional aspects.

Lead BIM modeling efforts during the transition from design center construction drawings to construction phase drawings, including conducting 3D drawing coordination.

Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations with proficiency and precision.

Create detailed structural drawings and establish calculation models to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.

Generate design sketches and translate them into comprehensive documentation packages and drawing sets.

Ensure design drawings adhere to specifications, design data, industry standards, and building codes.

Write technical reports to document design processes, methodologies, and findings.

Prepare construction specifications, cost estimates, and material lists.

Provide guidance and supervision to other technologists, technicians, and drafters when required

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support engineers, architects, and industrial designers.

Assist in the preparation of contracts, tender documents, and project proposals.

Possess knowledge in architecture, construction, and project management to effectively contribute to project planning and execution.

Stay updated with industry advancements and technological innovations relevant to drafting and design
