Long-Haul Truck Driver
Able Transport Ltd. a transportation company with a business address based at 29072 Maclure Rd, Abbotsford, BC - V3X 1K3 is looking for Five (05) full-time, permanent long-Haul Truck Drivers. (NOC: 7411)
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: Not Required. Will train
Must have Class 1, A or equivalent Driver's License, or able to acquire the same, air brake endorsement required.
Language: Basic English
Job Location: Various locations all over Canada & USA with business based at 29072 Maclure Rd, Abbotsford, BC - V3X 1K3
Wages: $27.60/hr (50 hours/week+4% Vacation Pay)
Employment conditions: Overtime, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Night
Transportation/Travel Information:
Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver's license, Drive manual transmission vehicle
Job Duties:
- Operate and drive company trucks to locations across Canada and the US.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods.
- Perform pre-trip inspections of the truck, vehicle systems and equipment.
- Plan travel schedules and routes and obtain required documentation.
- Oversee the condition of vehicle equipment, loading and unloading of goods and ensuring the safe delivery of cargo
- Ensure that all documentation and permits are in order when driving US routes
- Maintain logbook for each trip.
- Communicate with company dispatcher and other company drivers
- If necessary, perform emergency roadside repairs
