Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment, Full time 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and leading restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service, handling feedback, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Managing day-to-day operations, from opening to closing, to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Handling budgets, tracking expenses, and generating financial reports for the restaurant.
  • Ensuring food quality, presentation, and overall adherence to established standards.
  • Upholding health and safety regulations and overseeing cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Implementing marketing strategies to attract customers and increase restaurant visibility.
  • Addressing issues promptly, whether related to staff, customers, or operational challenges.
  • Identifying opportunities for increasing sales and profitability.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A CEGEP/ college diploma or equivalent is typically required. 
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the restaurant industry, including roles with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities to oversee staff and operations effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to handle guest interactions and feedback.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to efficiently manage working within a budget of $ 500,001 - $ 1,500,000.  
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, menu planning, and culinary trends.
  • Capability to address challenges, resolve conflicts, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and operational requirements.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, staff, and the local community.
