Early Childhood Educator (ECE) assistant
CEFA Kelowna is looking for 2 Early childhood educator (ECE) assistants to join our team.
Job Description:
Job duties:
-Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
-Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
-Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
-Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
-Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
-Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
-Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
-Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Job Requirements/Skills:
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and early childhood assistant certificate.
Experience: Related experience is required.
Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication, Judgement, Reliability, Team player
Terms of employment: Permanent position
Salary: $18.94-$20 per hour.
Benefits: Dental care, Vacation. Relocation costs covered by the employer.
Work Hours: 35-40 hours per week, full-time.
