Education:                               High School (Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business or equivalent preferred)
Experience:                             2-3 years of Senior level clerical or 1-2 years as Assistant Administrator or 5 years office                                                                clerical with some team/project lead experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer established company policies, directives, goals and objectives
  • Schedule and determine work priorities for office staff
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for executives/upper level management
  • Monitor office operations keeping a close eye on the delicate balance of the office
  • Oversee office projects, tasks and operations in order to maximize efficiency
  • Effectively resolve office and/or client conflicts
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, keeping in mind “the best person for the job”
  • Maintain a close eye on staff efficiency and eliminate “time waste” as much as possible
  • Administer discipline and acknowledgements as the needs arise and as approved by management
  • Create any needed data, memorandums, proposals or reports
  • Track, or delegate the tracking of office supply inventory and ordering
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation and tracking of departmental operating budgets
  • Track departmental spending and budgets and analyze trends in order to recognize cost-saving opportunities
  • Co-ordinate with department heads to ensure efficiency and optimization of resources
