JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate restaurant operations.
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
- Monitor staff performance.
- Control inventory, track waste, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
- Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- At least 2 years of post-secondary education in hospitality, food and beverage service management, or business is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in the food service sector, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience, are required.
- ProServe liquor staff certification is required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
- Willingness to learn and to work in a team environment.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Respectful style of communication.
- Passion for fondue and fine dining.
