JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:

 

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate restaurant operations.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
  • Monitor staff performance.
  • Control inventory, track waste, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.

 

REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:

 

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • At least 2 years of post-secondary education in hospitality, food and beverage service management, or business is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the food service sector, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience, are required.
  • ProServe liquor staff certification is required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
  • Willingness to learn and to work in a team environment.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Respectful style of communication.
  • Passion for fondue and fine dining.
