Job Description

Apple Farm Market 2009 Ltd. is currently looking to hire one Retail Store Supervisor.

Job Duties

Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff, stockers, and cashiers;

Assign sales workers to duties;

Prepare inventory orders by determining the stocks of produce and merchandise,

Authorize return of merchandise;

Monitor and count merchandise; Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages;

Maintain specified inventory;

Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters;

Prepare work schedules;

Open and/or close the store by performing duties such as placing and removing signage, opening and closing tills, unlocking and securing the store;

Maintain the cleanliness of the store by ensuring that maintenance duties are completed;

Prepare and make bank deposits, maintains financial records such as the daily journal;

Operates cash register and processes cash, debit card and credit card sale transactions.

May be asked to perform duties as workers supervised by management.

Job Requirements: 

Completion of secondary school is required.

2-3 years of experience in retail or related sector, it does not have to supervisory. Any supervisory experience will be an asset.

Excellent communication skills in English are required.

Well organized with attention to details.

Able to interact with customers in a friendly and cheerful manner.

Lift 50 lbs. boxes periodically throughout the day.

Efficiency in English. Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Combination of sitting, standing.

Benefit 

As per BC Employment standards act 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid or 10 days of paid vacation.
