Early Childhood Educator

Learningtree Childcare Corp. O/A Learning Tree Childcare located 400 Guelph St, Georgetown, ON L7G 4B6 requires 2 Early Childhood Educators (RECE Certified) on Permanent and Full-time basis for a minimum of 30 hours or above per week. Wage: $18.00 per hour plus $2.00 per hour Wage Enhancement Grant and $2.00 an hour General Operating Grant for a total of $22.00 an hour wage. Additionally, 4 % vacation pay will be paid out per year.

Must Have:

• Completed 2 years ECE Program
• In good standing with the College of ECE
• 2 years to less than 3 years’ experience as Early Childhood Educator

Job Duties:

• Daily Reporting and Record Keeping – Attendance, Allergy, Medication, Communication Logs.
• Support children with emotional, physical, or behavioral problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
• Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities. Maintain up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks.
• Work with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary.
• Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms, program reporting.
• Manage and maintain an orderly classroom – follow cleaning schedules and room routines.
• Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA.
• Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.
