Position Description

Position: Store Supervisor

Type of employment: Full-time; Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: 665, Smithe St, Vancouver, BC, V6B 2C9

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Manage team members and assign duties for stocking, cleaning, labelling, items displaying, decorating the store etc.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, both in person and over the phone, while resolving any complaints promptly and professionally.
• Prepare reports regarding daily sales volumes, tracking the sales yearly, merchandising and personnel matters.
• Prepare inventory orders by determining the stocks and ordering merchandise.
• Assist in authorizing payments by cheque and the return of merchandise.
• Operate cash register and process cash, debit card and credit card.
• Supervise and coordinate the staff and cashier's sale transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and age verification legislation.
• Assist in new staff hiring and training of sales skills.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school education.
• Demonstrated experience in retail sales.
• Supervisory experience would be an asset, but not mandatory.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve common goals.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
