Responsibilities
- Perform hydrostatic testing of boilers, troubleshooting and repair of burners.
- Evaluate basic boiler room systems, gather information and help solve problems.
- Installing, calibrating and controls utilizing the latest in calibration instruments.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions in boiler systems.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Determines needed repairs on boilers and related parts.
- Repairs leaking boiler tubes by re-rolling, re-tubing, or beading.
- Checks fluid distribution systems for leaks, repairs, or replacement.
- Perform compression and safety tests, clean pressure vessels.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and replace worn parts as required.
- Conforms to safety standards, as prescribed.
- Performs other tasks related to the position, as assigned.
