Welder (NOC 72106)

One (1) permanent full-time position of Welder (NOC 72106) available at Autolinx Express Inc. located at 375 Market Drive, Milton, ON, L9T 3H5.

Main Duties to be completed as per the lead statement of NOC 7237:

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, able to draw specifications and be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards or specifications
• Knowledge of arc, metal inert gas (MIG), and gas welding procedures, tools, and equipment used in structural repair of light and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of air carbon arc cutting and the use of oxy-acetylene torches.
• Able to operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
• Must be able to conduct auto repairs, truck repairs, machinery and equipment repair
• Able to conduct factory assembly, cast iron and other metals
• Able to work with different types of materials including nickel alloys, non-metallic materials, plasma coatings, stainless steel, iron and heavy metals, aluminum alloys and non-ferrous materials
• Following all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards.

• Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.

Requirements:
Minimum One (1) year of work experience
Completion of Secondary School required

Wage rate: $26.10/hour
Hours: 40 hrs/week
