-       35 hours/ week throughout your employment period

-       Paid Vacation of 2 Weeks each year or 4% gross salary

Maximum Seafood (Maximum) is a subsidiary of Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (PBHC) is one of the largest suppliers of live, fresh and frozen seafood products in Canada to wholesale, foodservice and retail customers. Located in Vaughan Ontario, Maximum employs approximately 90 employees, has a strong history of organic growth and has contributed significantly to numerous PBHC seafood platform acquisitions in Ontario.

Duties:

  • Maintain and update the company’s financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments using accounting software including QuickBooks and MS Excel
  • Generate and send out invoices, reconcile any discrepancies or errors, and ensure prompt payment from clients.
  • Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring all receipts are kept and properly categorized in customer ledger and general ledger.
  • Prepare and manage payroll, ensuring employees are paid on time and the proper deductions are taken.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure they match the internal records.
  • Track the purchase and sale of inventory, monitoring for losses and ensuring accurate pricing
  • Generate regular reports to management, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in developing budgets for different departments
  • Monitor and manage Accounts payable and Accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, and tax professionals as required
  • Conduct basic financial analysis to highlight trends, cost-saving opportunities, or areas of concern.
  • Utilize and maintain financial software, and ensure data backups are performed regularly.
  • Regularly report to management about the financial status of the company, highlighting any concerns or opportunities.
