Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses etc.): First aid certificate, CPR certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Childcare providers may be required completion of training program in childcare or a related field. Childcare or household management experience may be required.
Children's Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years),
Work Setting: Employer's home
Specific Skills: Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional wellbeing of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
Weight handling: up to 23 kg (50lb)
Additional Skills: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
