Nucro-Technics, a leading Contract Support Organization for the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and marijuana industries is seeking an experienced Microbiologist (R&D) to start as soon as possible. Our company conducts GMP & GLP-Compliant Chemistry, Microbiology, Toxicology, Genetic Toxicology, and Bioanalytical Testing to fulfill FDA, Health Canada, and European requirements.

 

This is a full-time permanent position of 37.5 hours per week with a salary of $75,000/annum.  The benefits include long-term disability, Dental Plan, Life insurance, RRSP contribution, and 4% vacation.

 

Our office is located at 2000 Ellesmere Road, Unit 16, Scarborough, ON, Canada, M1H 2W4 where you will also be working.  The language of work for this position is English.

 

The main responsibilities for these positions include:

 

  • Researching the structure and biotechnology applications of various compounds including antibiotics.
  • Researching, developing and testing different antibiotics against different organisms, identifying organisms, conducting antibiotic assay, assessing disinfectant effectiveness, and working on special projects as needed.
  • Following protocols in a thorough manner, including protocols devised by clients and industry standard protocols.
  • Conducting R&D and biochemical studies in a lab setting, including conducting work in an aseptic environment.
  • Operating independently laboratory instrumentation including, but not limited to balances, incubators, vortexes and water baths.
  • Preparing lab reports and analyzing findings as needed
  • Planning and organizing the execution of projects and tests.

 

You must have the following qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in Microbiology, Nanotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or closely related field.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical testing protocols.
  • Experience in conducting R&D and testing in an industrial lab setting.
