Food service supervisor

Location: Georgetown, ON L7G 0J1

Salary: $20.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Job Responsibilities:

• Enforcing strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Monitoring compliance with health regulations, conducting regular inspections, and training staff on proper food handling procedures.
• Monitoring and controlling costs, including labor, food, and supplies. Implementing strategies to maximize profitability, such as minimizing waste, optimizing portion sizes, and managing inventory efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety protocols. Conducting regular safety training and inspections.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conducting regular quality checks, tasting samples, and addressing any issues promptly.
• Keeping accurate records of sales, inventory, and other relevant data. Generating reports on performance, financials, and customer feedback. Providing reports to management as required.
• Train staff in job duties, monitor the sanitation, safety procedures and company policies
• Develop and implement schedules and procedures of work for all the staff members
• Keep the updated records of stock of food supplies, everyday sales and wastage
• Establish work schedules
• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Check staff punctuality and monitor staff performance
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

 Eligibility Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school diploma is required
• Minimum 1 year to 2 years of experience in similar role
• Good verbal, written and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work efficiently under pressure in busy environment.
• Required combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended hours
