dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a deep
appreciation and understanding of vegan cuisine, possess strong leadership skills, and be
committed to providing excellent customer service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will
assist in overseeing daily operations, training and developing staff, and ensuring that our
customers enjoy a memorable experience.
Job Title: Food Service Supervisor
Location: Toronto/ON
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
● Oversee daily operations of the plant based quick service food restaurant.
● Provide guidance, direction, and support to kitchen and front-of-house
staff.
● Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
● Assist in staff who share our passion for vegan food and are dedicated to
delivering exceptional service.
● Oversee schedules, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal resource
utilization
Quality Control:
● Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
● Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with
health and safety regulations.
● Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.

Inventory and Ordering:
● Monitor and maintain inventory levels to guarantee availability of ingredients
and prevent shortages.
● Place orders for food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
● Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
Customer Service:
● Provide exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming and assisting
customers, answering inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met.
● Handle reservations and special requests.
● Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall customer
experience.

Qualifications:
Experience:
● Proven experience (at least one year) in a supervisory or managerial
role within the plant- based food service industry.
● Familiarity with both kitchen and front-of-house operations.
● A deep love and understanding of vegan food and its principles.
● Knowledge of plant-based ingredients, vegan cooking techniques, and menu
planning.

● Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Communication:
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and customers.
Organizational Skills:
● Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

Problem-Solving:
● Proven ability to handle challenging situations and find effective solutions.
● Quick decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
● Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
● Certification in food safety is a plus.
Flexibility:
● Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
